Abstract

Encephalopathy is clinically defined as diffuse disorder of brain with at least two of the following ^[¹^] altered sensorium, altered cognition or personality, seizures. Acute encephalopathy is a pediatric emergency with high morbidity and mortality, however early identification and timely intervention can influence the outcome.
