Abstract

Background: ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) is a severe manifestation ofcoronary artery disease that contributes significantly to global morbidity and mortality. Traditionallyassociated with older adults, recent trends indicate a rising incidence of STEMI among youngerpopulations, particularly in regions such as Southern Punjab, Pakistan. This shift in demographic distribution necessitates a deeper understanding of the clinical characteristics, risk factors, andoutcomes specific to younger patients to inform targeted prevention and treatment strategies
