Abstract

Introduction: Osteoarthritis is adegenerative, chronic disease that affects upto 80% of the population over 75 years ofage. A recent report indicates that kneeosteoarthritis is likely to become the fourthmost crucial aetiology of physical limitation in women and the eighth most in men. Inmiddle-aged persons, osteoarthritis maycause a major burden in lost time at work
