Background: Chronic obstructivepulmonary disease (COPD) is a progressiverespiratory disorder associated with systemiccomplications, particularly cardiovasculardisease. The corrected QT (QTc) interval, amarker of ventricular repolarization, hasbeen implicated in arrhythmogenesis andsudden cardiac death, and may be prolonged in patients with severe COPD.
