Abstract

Background: Acute appendicitis is a common surgical emergency. The two primary surgicalapproaches are open appendectomy (OA) and laparoscopic appendectomy (LA). While LA isincreasingly popular, its comparative benefits in terms of complication rates and recovery in ageneral surgery setting remain a key area of investigation.
