Abstract

Erythema multiforme (EM) is an acute inflammatory disorder of the skin and mucous membranes. EMis primarily associated with infection related immune activation. It is most commonly observed in herpessimplex virus (HSV). Clinically, it is characterized by the development of distinctive target lesions that accompanied by mucosal involvement of variable distribution and intensity
