Abstract

Background: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is the gold standard for the treatment of gallstonedisease; however, bile duct injury remains a serious complication associated with significant morbidity.
Objective: To determine the incidence, risk factors, and management strategies of bile duct injuries following laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
