Background: Laryngopharyngeal reflux disease (LPRD)) is a multifactorial inflammatory condition resulting from the retrograde exposure of the laryngopharyngeal mucosa to gastric contents, including acid, pepsin, and bile salts. Unlike classical gastroesophageal reflux disease, Laryngopharyngeal Reflux Disease (LPRD) frequently presents with extra-esophageal manifestations such as dysphonia, chronic cough, globus sensation, and throat clearing, which are often nonspecific and contribute to diagnostic ambiguity.
