The Disappearing Viral Signature: A Clinical Report of Three Cases of Hepatitis B with Subsequent Hbsag Seroclearance Following Individualised Homoeopathic Treatment

Abstract

Hepatitis B is an infectious disease cause by infection of Hepatitis B virus (HBV). It is one of the major public health problems globally and it also has potential to progress in cirrhosis of liver or hepatic carcinoma. Objective of this article is to evaluates the effects of individualized homoeopathic medicine in patients with hepatitis B infection. In this article a total of three cases has been discussed. These cases primarily diagnosed based on clinical presentation and serological positive finding and treated with individualized homoeopathic medicine (IHM). In all the cases HbsAg became non-reactive and patients also got symptomatic relief. Causal attribution also assessed with Modified Naranjo Criteria for Homoeopathy (MONARCH). Individualized homoeopathic medicinal intervention in cases of Hepatitis B infection may prove effective. Further methodologically rigorous trials are needed to assess proper effectiveness of IHM in cases of HBV infection.
