Abstract

Inguinal hernia is one of the most commonsurgical conditions worldwide and accounts for alarge proportion of elective general surgeryprocedures. The Lichtenstein tension-free meshrepair is considered the current gold standardbecause of its low recurrence rate andreproducible results.
